



The Latin American Council of Management Schools CLADEA 2009 and the Universidad Del Pacifico, cordially invites participation in the XLIV Annual Assembly and to submit papers related to specific themes areas.
All papers will be revised by area specialists, in accordance to the “blind review” mode, and those selected will be delivered to concurrent sessions and published in the Memoirs of the Congress.
A selection of the best papers will be published in a special edition of the ACADEMIA journal – Latin American Journal of Administration.
Objectives of CLADEA:
Principal themes
The active participation of academia in research efforts must result in developing consciousness bearing on the fundamental problems affecting Latin America, as well as providing possible solutions.
The analysis of research and innovation concerning the various conundrums of Latin America should produce relevant materials for discussion within national forums, taking advantage of the vast network of CLADEA. In this manner, a significant impulse would be given to social consciousness and a change of attitude regarding the multiple predicaments Latin America is facing, particularly, in terms of sustainable development.
Academia and Enterprise should jointly promote common efforts, encouraging cooperation, research and the development of new educational programmes enhancing the competitive standing of Latin America within the community of nations and the fundamental values of human talent.
In accordance to these premises, the XLIV CLADEA ANNUAL ASSEMBLY taking place from the 4th to the 7th of November 2009 at the Universidad Del Pacifico-Campus Guayaquil, has selected a number of specific topics. All papers must comply with the requirements of the selected themes.

CONCURRENT EVENTS
In addition to the specified items of the Agenda, such as thematic sessions, lunch time guest speakers and plenary meetings covering topics denoted in the programme, there will be a number of parallel events including: meetings of the Alexander Von Humboldt Association, Doctoral Colloquium, posters, and publications.
One of the important objectives of the Assembly is to promote and encourage meetings between Academia and Enterprise. Accordingly, a special invitation is extended to the participant universities to send representatives from Enterprise. To this effect, workshops are organized whereby both parties would be able to exchange ideas, experiences, views and vision concerning the significant challenges of the future.

A number of themes are included guiding the presentation of papers. Each thematic track will have a respective Panel which will allow thorough analysis of the differences and coincidences in terms of cultural diversity.
