Spanish Courses

Universidad Del Pacífico, offers guest students 2 to 3-week packages (plus an extra adventure week) that include academic credits, tourism and fun.
As part of our summer program, visitors can take academic courses to comply with their home universities’ requirements and at the same time have the opportunity to view our culture, touristic sites and Latin America´s socio-economic reality from a closer perspective.

Package 1

Weeks: 3 (plus an optional week of cultural tourism, adventure and fun)

Credits: 9    Hours: 144

Intensive Spanish Levels: 3  (any three of the following six sub-levels)

Basic    1 or 2	40 contact hours	8 hours out of classroom practice
Intermediate 1 or 2	40 contact hours	8 hours out of classroom practice
Advanced 1 or 2	40 contact hours	8 hours out of classroom practice

• Placement test 
• (minimum 6 students per level, additional costs for groups smaller than 6)

Schedule for the first three weeks
Monday through Friday           9 hours a day               = 45 hours per week
5 contact hours in class and 4 hours practice (Conversation Club with city tours)

Last week (optional)
Cultural Tourism, adventure and entertainment
Coast, mountains, jungle (pick an option)

Package 2     

Weeks: 2 (plus an optional week of cultural tourism, adventure and fun)

Credits: 6    Hours: 96

Intensive Spanish Levels: 1 = 3 credits

40 contact hours          8 hours out of classroom practice

• Placement test
• (minimum 10 students, additional costs for groups smaller than 10)

Module 1=3 credits
